Evolution explores the concepts of progress, transformation, growth, and advancement in an age when images are taking a dramatic shift in the role they play in our lives.
Musée Magazine is a photography-based publication and a fiscally sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts. We cater to the arts and culture, and feature some of the most prolific and well known artists in the genre. Musée celebrates the photographic community by providing a platform for emerging artists.
Since the first issue of Musée was published in November 2011, 300 established and 250 emerging artists have appeared in our magazine. We are proud of our original content on the website, which is updated daily and consists of an ever-growing archive of visual content, editorials, and in-depth interviews. In 2017 alone, we have redesigned the magazine and website, making it easier to navigate, and launched a mobile app.
Moving forward, our aim is to expand our print publications and host artist lectures and exhibitions. Musée continuously creates new content series, such as our “Photographic Alphabet” and “Cheeky Shag”, and works to increase our reach on social media and output of videos and podcasts. We would also like to increase the number of artist commissions.
