While John is primarily a painter, photography is integral to his work. He uses it for inspiration and it is part of his process within his larger works. These photos record a two week trip through Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa. John found that encountering nature so closely was truly eye-opening and the experience was nothing short of remarkable. The images will be incorporated into his Figure & Ground series of paintings.
