MUSÉE 29 – EVOLUTION

Evolution explores the concepts of progress, transformation, growth, and advancement in an age when images are taking a dramatic shift in the role they play in our lives.

10th Anniversary of Daylight Books

Daylight Books, a non-profit organization dedicated to publishing art and photography books, celebrates its 10th anniversary this fall with the launch of four new monographs by American photographers Sarah Christianson, Henry Jacobson, Sara Macel, and Katie Murray. Each compelling volume takes a very different approach to exploring family, tradition, and the home place. The celebration will kick off with a panel discussion with Daylight's fall artists (see the scoop on each book below) followed by a book signing and 10th birthday bash. Both events will take place in New York's Brooklyn Bridge Park, the site of the second annual Photoville (September 19-29, 2013), a photo festival that launched last year to critical acclaim that presents a village of exhibitions housed in freight containers, along with artist talks, lectures, and workshops. Daylight's events are being mounted in partnership with Photoville and Brooklyn Book Festival (September 16-22, 2013), the largest free literary event in New York and one of America's premier book festivals.
