Project: Remembrance-Melt
Thailand is a country with long histories and many wars and disasters. Even though the country has been dramatically changed from the past leading to many problems, it is still a lovely place to stay. This is the land that our ancestors fought and protected for us. It is the land that we can call home with pride.
Nevertheless, the country that we live in has gone through many obstacles and incidents. Many lives have been sacrificed to protect the land. In order to overcome the disasters, it takes abilities and sacrifices from many people including the King, soldiers, religious leaders and local people.
In the history class, many heroes and heroines are praised. Most of them are the royal family or royal soldiers who take important role as the protecter of the nation. These heroes are wise and brave. However, the mission cannot be succeeded by one person. Protecting the land requires collaboration and sacrifice from ordinary soldiers and local people as well.
The exhibition is aimed to give a remembrance to these ‘heroes’ and their families. They are the heroes without a place in the history book. They sacrifice their life and family members to protect the country without hoping anything in return. They do their duty to protect the people of Thailand and maintain the nation, religions and our beloved King.
