Triggered!: Sam Nixon

In February 2019, I was in India making a film about Pehlwani wrestlers, we were traveling north from Delhi where we stopped for breakfast at a roadside restaurant. As my friend was using the restroom I started walking slowly back towards the car. We were the only ones eating so once we paid up I noticed the man who took our money now had nothing to do and strolled out and took a seat on the horse. I loved how he looked as a grown man on a little rocking horse in the morning light with nobody else in sight. I walked back quietly from the car so as not to disturb him and snapped a picture. As the shutter made a sound I swiveled and pretended to be looking elsewhere just in case he heard.
I'm assuming that was the spot he liked to warm up in the winter mornings when he had no customers.
