About the Artist:
Temple Of is a SWANA-focused queer-centric collective of DJs, artists & performers of Prague. SWANA is a decolonial word for the South West Asian & North African (S.W.A.N.A.) region in place of “Middle Eastern” or “Near Eastern”, that have colonial, Eurocentric, and Orientalist origins and are created to conflate, contain and dehumanize our people. We use SWANA to speak to the diversity of our communities and to forward the most vulnerable in our liberation.

About the Project : Temple Of
Our goal is to create a safer space for queer SWANA people & our allies to celebrate the diversity & intersectionality of our cultures through electronic music, visual & performance art & dance, immersive rituals & practices. We embrace the storytelling possible with a series of raves, and strive to create our mythology, our own universe, with our events. These images are moments from a series of films we produced in the lead-up to our second immersive rave, held in Prague, Czech Republic, in August 2023.
