About the Artist:

Born in 1990 in the Vosges, Robin Lopvet is a multimedia visual artist working on the issues of language games, the economy of recovery, parody, DIY and play. Practicing digital retouching for around twenty years, he is part of this post-photographic wave which demands assertive, visible retouching, bringing a pictorial gesture into digital practices. At the same time, he co-manages the Club Late Music label, produces music, organizes parties and performs as a DJ. He lives and works on the Internet.

About the Project: Mythological creature

The Mythological Creatures is a series in which I stage modern versions of mainly ancient Greek and Roman mythology. I wanted to show how those creatures would look like if they were alive today. There wanted to create a tension between the gravity of those classical figures and something more grotesque which fit well with the times we are living in.
