Emotion of Sound: Bottega Veneta Spring-Summer 2015 collection

The collaboration with the Director and dancers seen in the video, brings Bottega Veneta's Spring-Summer 2015 collection to life. The collection, which hits stores next week, is influenced by dance and the idea of freedom in movement, conveyed through the essence of emotion. The actual “sound” you hear in the video is a collection of sounds captured from our very own atelier in Vincenza, artisans making clothes, accessories, etc - that have been collected specifically for this purpose. The video is meant to represent a brief moment in time, an artistic narrative that echoes the underlying philosophies of Bottega Veneta.  The idea of the artisan and relationship between designer and artist (artisans at Bottega and artists/photographers that they work with for their ad campaigns) are important to Tomas Maier– and, expanding on notion, they have enlisted a group of individuals talented in their own right, lending them the freedom to create this film. Their interpretation ultimately led to individual responsibilities merging and roles combining to achieve their aim, defining the true spirit of collaboration.

An extension of the concept will be showcased through a special installation, from March 7 through March 16 exclusively in Japan at Bottega Veneta’s Ginza store, where visitors can interactively engage with sound, light and shadows, for their own emotional experience.
