IN THIS ISSUE

In Musée’s 17th edition, Enigma, we explore the mystique, what is difficult to understand and puzzling, testing the bounds of our experiences and knowledge. The 15 artists in this issue expand perceptions, perspectives, and processes past the audience’s expectations. Sally Mann delves into the unfamiliar aspects of the cycle of life. The traditional boundaries of photography were blurred and broken by Daido Moriyama when he dissected the process of spontaneous point and shoot photography. For Andy Warhol, multistep silkscreen prints represent the simplistic sensuality of unidentifiable lips.

Other artists represented are Andrea Blanch, Annette Lemieux, Arthur Tress, Guy Bourdin, James Laxton, John MacLean, Ralph Eugene Meatyard, Richard Mosse, Sally Gall, Sebastiaan Bremer, Arne Svenson, Felix R. Cid, Marilyn Minter, Ben Zank, Manuel Franquelo, Wangechi Mutu, Carolyn Marks Blackwood, Michael Hoeh, and Alexander Montague-Sparey.
