Art Out: Spring Party to benefit Aperture
Aperture’s fourth annual Spring Party celebrating an upcoming book, The Photographer in the Garden, published by Aperture and the George Eastman Museum. This new volume considers how photographers have chosen to interpret the garden, exploring the symbolism of individual flowers and how gardeners have shaped the landscape, from famous locations, such as Versailles and Giverny, to the simplest home vegetable gardens. Event proceeds help carry out the organization’s mission of publishing new work on photography, touring exhibitions around the globe, and producing educational programming for diverse audiences. Event hosts are Martha Stewart, Ginger and Stephen Shore, and coauthor of The Photographer in the Garden, Sarah Anne McNear.
