Drag Polaroids
In an effort to continue documenting drag culture in the south, I decided to use a Polaroid camera this time. This proved to be much more difficult in technical terms due to the dark club environment. Yet the Polaroids own built in flash did it justice.
I wanted to capture snapshots of queer performers, because I don't think we have enough of it. I wanted the viewer to almost feel like they are there in the moment seeing the performance. In my previous drag work I focused on all the behind the scenes aspects that happen before the performance even begin. Now I wanted to experience the performance and invite the viewer.
