Right near Union Square, amongst the pandemic-built outdoor seating, are blocks of scaffolding. All of New York is in a perpetual state of building and rebuilding. One rarely goes a day without seeing these crisscrossed metal structures.

And though there are parks and playgrounds scattered all around the city, these faux monkey bars are much more exciting. After pick up, Dad takes his four kids over to the subway to take the L across town and the A uptown.

But like clockwork, every day, the kids want to climb. And he lets them get out their energy before homework and dinner.
